COMPANY OVERVIEW:

Cocktails & Screams is a unique Halloween-themed bar located in downtown Orlando that is open all year long! We have a high-energy and fun work environment and are looking for characters to entertain and interact with guests to give them the best experience!

POSITION SUMMARY:

We are looking for iconic and/or original characters and entertainers to create a fun and unique experience for our patrons, and also help promote the business to bring in more guests. This position consists of 2 levels: Level 1 - Character; Level 2 - Entertainer. The level will be based on experience, skill, and talent. Characters and Entertainers will report to the character coordinator or general manager on duty. Characters and Entertainers will be on a rotational system during their shifts.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Greet, interact with, and entertain patrons.
  • Responsible for working the podium at the front door.
  • Inform guests of entertainment for the night and the time (live music, karaoke, DJ, special events, etc.)
  • Inform guests about our speakeasy located inside the bar called The Craft.
  • Know and perform all required opening and closing procedures and fill out the opening/closing checklists.
  • Check IDs at the door if security is not present for the night.
  • Collect cover/ticket charge on select nights.
  • Responsible for working the door to The Craft. This includes managing reservations and informing guests of rules while inside the Craft.
  • Must be in character at all times when in the presence of patrons.
  • Must be able to interact with people on the spot.
  • Responsible for manning our "Wheel of Misfortune" and creating a unique experience for the patrons.
  • Responsible for roaming outside to bring in patrons.
  • Responsible for interacting with patrons in line to keep them engaged and entertained.
  • Responsible for working the floor inside to keep guests entertained and engaged.
  • Responsibilities and duties will be based on level (Level 1 or Level 2)
  • Characters and entertainers must provide their own costuming/makeup.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Past experience as a costumed character/entertainer.
  • Customer service experience.
  • Must be very outgoing and capable of interacting with a wide variety of people.
  • Improvisation skills.
  • Must have your own iconic and/or original character & costume.
  • Creativity is a must!

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:

Hourly: $15 per hour
