POSITION SUMMARY:

In the busy world of vacation rentals, thoroughness and accuracy are crucial. If you’re precise, organized and have a knack for numbers, we’d love to have you join us as our Staff Bookkeeper/Accountant. In this role, you will be the backbone of our financial operations. With responsibilities ranging from the meticulous execution of the monthly close process to the timely preparation of clear financial reports, your skills will be an essential part of our success.

Answering directly to the CFO, your proficiency with Quickbooks Online and a foundational understanding of finance or accounting will also be indispensable. Beyond these skills, we're seeking someone with a solid commitment to detail, who is great at multitasking, and dedicated to excellence.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Complete various assigned and complete monthly close procedures.
  • Recording and reconciling balance sheet accounts, among other things, in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Assist with all general accounting functions across the portfolio of companies.
  • Assist in preparing financial reports to meet internal and external financial reporting requirements, including standard financial statements (balance sheet, P&L, cash flow), portfolio performance, and cash-on-cash return.
  • Process various accounting transactions such as accounts payable and cash receipts.
  • Assist with establishing accounting policies and procedures.
  • Help facilitate the annual audit process and other regulatory examinations/reviews as necessary.
  • Assist with establishing and maintaining an adequate internal control framework.
  • Interact with lenders, auditors, and other third parties regarding finance functions, as required

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Previous Property Management experience and Escrow Accounting Experience is desired.
  • 2+ years of accounting experience or equivalent work experience.
  • Experience with Quickbooks Online.
  • Able to start ASAP (ideally, within 3-6 weeks)
  • A bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting would be helpful but not necessary.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:

Annual Salary: $48,000 - $55,000

Schedule: Must be willing to work Monday through Friday during regular business hours with the flexibility to work after hours as needed.
