If you’re a meticulous and numbers-savvy individual with experience in bookkeeping or an accounting degree, consider joining us as our part-time Bookkeeper.
In this important role, you'll serve as part of the backbone of our financial operations, ensuring thoroughness and accuracy. Your responsibilities will include critical aspects of our financial management, from conducting detailed weekly bank reconciliations to efficiently managing bill payments and payroll processes. You'll also handle filing and paying Hawaii GE/TA taxes, preparing monthly financial reports, and maintaining vendor files.
To keep everyone on the same page, you will report weekly to our General Manager. Your expertise in Quickbooks and foundational knowledge of finance or accounting will be highly valuable. - Balance and Transfer Proceeds Weekly
- Reconcile all bank accounts weekly
- Manage the weekly payment of bills in an organized and efficient manner
- Possibly Manage Payroll
- Oversee 1099's and W2's - Manage the preparation and distribution of 1099s and W2s.
- File and Pay Hawaii GE/TA Taxes
- Investigate and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
- Monthly Financial Reports
- Stay up-to-date on accounting regulations and ensure adherence to industry standards.
- Implement and maintain internal controls to ensure financial accuracy
- Maintain Vendor Files
- Audit Payroll for Accuracy
- Conduct periodic audits of payroll records to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Address any discrepancies promptly and efficiently.
- Owner Statements
- Actively identify and address errors or deficiencies in financial records.
- 2+ years experience in Bookkeeping or an Accounting degree
- Experience with QuickBooks is a must
- Familiar with Track Software and Ramp is a plus
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and time-management skills
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively
- Strong communication skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:
Hourly Wage: $30+ per hour based on experience and achievement
Schedule: Flexible 25-30 hour week with remote work options.
