POSITION SUMMARY:

As the Owner Accounting Manager you will report directly to the owner of Parrish Kauai and be responsible for managing the day-to-day Owner Trust operations.  From managing the daily transactions to onboarding new owners, every task has a clear purpose and appropriate expectations.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Accounting Team Management: Manage and inspire an accounting team of three plus.
  • Trust Accounting: Oversee all Trust accounting functions including payments, receipts, as well as bank and credit card reconciliations, etc.
  • Reconciliation of Payables & Receivable: Receive, verify, and reconcile daily payment receipts as well as ongoing payables.
  • State and local Taxes: Prepare and file state and county taxes on behalf of owners on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
  • Charges & Documentation: Generate invoices for company services and supplies, as well as maintain accurate documentation.
  • Data Management: Accurately input contracts and other pertinent information into the Track software system, including external details like banking and tax information.
  • Reporting & Analysis for Homeowners: Deliver timely monthly statements to owners with supporting documents. Ensure compliance with state and county taxes, IRS documentation, and manage annual Transient Accommodation Permit renewals.
  • Management Reporting & Reconciliation: Regularly reconcile management-related financial documents. Provide periodic reports tracking both operational and property expenditures.
  • Insurance & Transition Management: Monitor insurance documentation for vendors and property owners, ensuring seamless transition of utility services for new properties joining the management program.
  • Onboarding & Education: Work with owners, especially those new to the management company, in understanding their financial statements and the information provided to them. Ensure they have a working knowledge of all relevant processes and documentation.
  • General Responsibilities: Track insurance, enter contract information in PMS, etc.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in accounting, coupled with at least two years of team management, is highly desirable.
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Familiarity and competence with accounting and financial software tools is essential.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:

Annual Salary: Up to $100,000 base and bonus, determined by experience.

Bonus: An annual bonus opportunity determined by the manager's performance and their ability to achieve the goals set by both the manager and the owner. This bonus is targeted at 20 percent of the salary, but is not capped.
