Some elements of the job include: 

  • Providing day-to-day financial support to the business
  • Help manage all aspects of bookkeeping, including accounts payable, accounts receivable and payroll processing
  • Spending time ensuring that vendor bills are paid, tracking and entering receipts, running financial reports
  • Meticulous execution of the monthly close process and the timely preparation of clear financial reports

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Keep all company data organized, usable and updated
  • Process various accounting transactions such as accounts payable and cash receipts
  • Organize and categorize transactions
  • Recording and reconciling balance sheet accounts, among other things, in a timely and accurate manner
  • Assist with all general accounting functions across the portfolio of companies
  • Assist with reconciliations and preparation of monthly owner statements
  • Assist with the preparation of thorough year-end QuickBooks files for the company accountant
  • Assist in preparing financial reports to meet internal and external financial reporting requirements, including standard financial statements (balance sheet, P&L, cash flow) and portfolio performance

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Previous Property Management experience and Escrow Accounting Experience is desired
  • 2+ years of accounting or equivalent work experience
  • Skilled with Quickbooks and Microsoft 365
  • Strong computer skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Adept at bookkeeping and able to follow our systems and processes
  • Able to learn quickly as we grow and evolve and work with a high degree of accuracy.
  • Able to work independently, with a flexible and positive attitude
  • Able to start ASAP (ideally, within 3-6 weeks)
  • A bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting would be helpful but not necessary

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:
